Realm of Gods: People are born into these heavens due to good karma (good deeds). More freedom & opportunity but their greet endowment and fortune is their greatest danger. Feel so great, grand, immortal and enjoy such comfort and pleasures.
Realm of Hungry Ghosts or Pretas: Hungry, Thirsty, frustrated beings. Greed is the primary reason why beings are born in this state. Torture of tantalus, huge stomach, narrow pin size throats miles long. Insatiable hunger and when food is procured. Instead of satisfaction excruciating pain. Water turns to fire and food turns to sword in their stomachs.
Realm of Animals: As hell beings are incarnations due to hate, pretas due to greed. Animal life forms are caused by stupidity and accumulated ignorance condition of lack of intelligence and limited ability to communicate.
Realm of Humans: Humans too are incarnations of negativity but still are freed from the extremes of hatred, greed and ignorance. Lust in the cause of rebirth in the human realm. Sorrows, pain of birth, old age and death – blessed with human life which provides ideal condition for enlightenment.
Realm of Asuras or Demigods: More freedom, opportunities than humans but have forgone their good deeds in pursuit of power, caught in the thrall of competitiveness; they are primarily driven by Jealousy. They love to fight and outdo others.
Realm of Hell: People are born into hell realm due to hate.
