His Majesty graces last day of Paro Tsechu

March 30: His Majesty the King graced the final day of the Paro Tshechu which ended with the unfurling of the Guru Thongdrel today.

After offering the prayers, His Majesty the King joined the crowd to witness the cultural performances of the day.

Their Royal Highnesses, Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck and Prince Ugyen Jigme Wangchuck accompanied His Majesty the King.

While in Paro, His Majesty the King also granted an audience to more than 70 kidu recipients from the Dzongkhag. The beneficiaries include mostly students and elderly people.

The beneficiaries shared their gratitude for being granted the Kidu and more importantly, His Majesty the King’s audience today.

Thousands of people from Paro and neighbouring Dzongkhags gathered at the courtyard of the Dzong to receive blessings from the Thongdrel and witness the final day of the Tsechu.
